General

I've lowkey been going through an identiy crisis so I'll update this when it all settles down...
But for now ig I can reveal that I'm from Australia, haiiii I'm in funny upside down country!!

Hobbies

Astrophotography and astronomy

Ask me literally anything about space and I'll excitedly infodump for hours (message board when???). I have like 4 telescopes in my possession including the astrophotography rig that I put together myself:

  • Camera: Canon EOS 7D Mk.II
  • Telescope: William Optics RedCat 61
  • Mount: Sky Watcher Star Adventurer 2i (yes I know I'm pushing the weight limit, but I'm not exactly made of money!)
  • cheap tripod, cheap dew heater band, cheap remote shutter release cable for scheduling subs, I don't think anyone cares about this part =w=

I stack my data in DeepSkyStacker (although recently I've moved to pixinsight Weighted Batch Pre Processing), and then process the stacked images in pixinsight before moving over to affinity photo to do some final editing.

Self-teaching myself French and Japanese

My progress is kinda on life support rn but I still wikipedia surf in French for fun occasionally. With Japanese I'm good on grammar for now so it's just one big vocabulary grind, particularly with kanji @w@

Digital art

I been on the art grind, meow!
All of it is done in Krita mainly with 4 brushes across my two artstyles

  • A g-pen for doing lineart with my characters
  • A course wet paint brush for large bodies of colour and also for blending
  • A fine ink brush (almost like a felt tip pen) for details in my landscapes
  • Airbrush + colour dodge blending mode to add that beautiful bloom

It doesn't really count as part of the piece but technically I do use a 5th brush (literally just basic-1) to sign my work.
